With years of experience in education, WHIRIHIA is designed to empower, enrich and support hapuu maamaa and whaanau to learn the stages of haputanga (pregnancy), whakawhanau (birth) parenting support, home safety, CPR and water safety.
Whirihia is a one day antenatal education programme that covers female anatomy, stages of labour, medical intervention and procedures. It is facilitated by qualified educators that provide a nurturing and practical space for learning. This wananga is open to all whaanau who will be supporting the hapu mama during the labour and birth process.
